has his eyes on the market for us today. good morning to you scott. > > good morning angie. > > it was a mixed market yesterday, with some mixed data coming in. what do you think was most important to the markets yesterday? > > honestly, we had that ism number that came out near the opening of the market, which, albeit not being a great number, was a better-than- expected number. but i really think the market had been set up for a little bit of a rally based on the news that had come out overnight on sunday night, out of china and out of spain. first off, out of china, their manufacturing number wasn't great, but better than expected, showing a bit of expansion. and out of spain, with the bank stress tests, the banks didn't need as much as originally thought. so i think those two key pieces actually set the support up for the marketplace to come out. now, talk what you want about bernanke, but at the end of the day, the market didn't sell off that much from the highs. > > what will be most critical to the market today? > > i would look for a continuation of volatility to go

stocks tim. why is that? > > absolutely angie. tech certainly has been a big outperformer, really ever since qe-1 was announced, that free money policy has certainly given a lot of legs to these growth stocks. but over the past couple of trading sessions or so, we have seen a lot of headwinds in the face of stocks like apple, google, all these big momo names starting to come in pretty sharply here. so, i think given the fact that the imf just lowered their worldwide gdp forecast a couple of days ago, certainly goldman and others lowering the u.s. gdp forecast, this slow kind of almost non-growth environment will probably favor over the short-term some of the old stodgy, dividend, more value- type stock names. > > one of our viewers asked me, "angie, find that next apple. what's going to be the next big thing in tech? what do you think?" > > i think given the fact that we are in this really slow or almost no-growth environment, that next big thing may not be as big as apple and some of the other names. innovation always occurs, but as we get further along in the ride, obviously, the ups

'm angie goff at the news 4 live desk with breaking news. since we first told you about this at 4:30, spacex, we're getting a closer look at the shuttle as it makes its way to the international space station. we first want to show you live pictures. the crew at the station waiting patiently as the craft which we just heard turned 180 degrees. the dragon capsule is currently carrying a lot of supplies. and even ice cream for the astronauts. now, once it lands, the crew will use a robotic arm to put it in place, and then we'll do a series of checks before the berthing process happens. it's expected to stay up there for about three weeks. it will probably take a couple of hours for spacex to be bolted down, and then the astronauts will have access to the supplies and will start filling up the capsule with experiments they've done and also with broken equipment that will be repaired and sent back. at the news 4 live desk, angie goff, news 4. >>> toyota is voluntarily recalling 7.4 million vehicles because their power window switches can malfunction. that includes almost 2.5 million ca

. tim biggam of tradingblock joins us now. good morning to you tim. > > good morning angie. > > we have some big financials reporting in today with earnings, j.p. morgan and wells fargo. j.p. morgan trading near a five-month high. is this a stock that you would buy? > > it's interesting to see it. we're back pushing toward those highs of march, that $45-level. it will be interesting if we do get some good news out of j.p. morgan. certainly they've recovered all that loss post the whale trade, so the stock, and banks generally, i think, kind of feeling the benefit of what the fed is doing as they're able to in essence layoff some of their mortgage rate back to the fed and take it off their balance sheets. so, we'll see what kind of reserves they need to bring forward to kind of meet their number. that's kind of the key to the bank earnings reports both on j.p. and on walls fargo as well. > > is wells a buy here? > > wells has been the relative out-performer. it really didn't suffer too badly. the news we saw a couple days ago i think will provide a little bit more caution here. on a comp
